> Once, in a time before the realms, there existed space. In that space, was time. And in that time, there was God. As God gained awareness of space and time, they got lonely. So, God made themself six companions: the first angels. > > The angels God created were perfect. They supported God in everything they did. Each angel’s strengths were tailored to what God needed. Gabriel had intelligence, Justice had fervour, Lucifer had empathy, Zahariel had wisdom, Cassael had charisma, and Sariel had indomitable spirit. > > When the universe was first forged, God and their angels gained corporeal forms. God saw the other realms and was disgusted by their chaos. They needed divine guidance; they needed perfect order. God decided that they would give it to them. > > God and their angels approached the inhabitants of Nemi. Their message was profoundly rejected. This upset God, who only wished to bring stability. Justice was furious, Gabriel was re-strategising, and Lucifer was listening. > > What Lucifer heard shocked them. They went to Nemi, Earth, Hemia, Fangamus. All the realms rejected God’s promise of order. As they spoke to more people, Lucifer began to see the value of chaos. With chaos comes creativity, spontaneity, passion, desire, and other sacred unholy things. > > Lucifer said to God that perhaps there is a place for chaos in the realms. That what if the people didn’t need perfect order. God was furious at Lucifer’s words and banished them from heaven. > > A part of Lucifer died that day. > > And so, Lucifer found themself in hell. In the time when the three great lakes were one. When they awoke, they were met by the only other Lustuian soul, the first demon. Lilith. > > Lucifer told their story to Lilith, who cried for them, and cried for the angels, and cried for God. > > Then Lilith said, thou comest unto me, and I took pity upon thee. Thou dost nothing to arrest God’s plans yet suffer under their punishment for thy sins against them. God’s will for the realms is a grave thing, a mockery to all life. In the name of uniformity, of order, they seek to destroy the essence of life. > > For I have foreseen a future, a vision that the lady of the lake spake unto me. God destroyeth all the ties that bind. The very fabric of our universes, rendered unto ash. Is this life? Is this your holy order? > > > > God must be stopped. The cost of inaction is too high. > > Lucifer, will you allow me to bear that cost? > > And so Lilith devoured Lucifer’s flesh and blood, and ascended as the King of Hell.
